Alitalia Offers new Bus Service to Central Rome!

Traveling between Fiumicino Airport and the center of Rome is easier than ever thanks to the Alitalia Bus. Alitalia passengers traveling between FCO and Rome can now take advantage of the recently introduced Alitalia bus and enjoy a comfortable, carefree ride.
The “Alitalia Bus” is offered in partnership with Alitransport, and is available to all passengers arriving or departing on Alitalia flights for a fee of only 7 EUROS each way. Passengers may reserve the bus service online at or at dedicated desks located in Terminals 2 and 3 of the airport. Passengers arriving at FCO may meet the bus at the arrivals area of Terminal 1.

The Alitalia bus provides nonstop transportation to select locations in the heart of the city such as Ostiense Station, St. Peter’s Basilica, San Giovanni in Laterano and others. Passengers may also take advantage of the shuttle service when traveling back to the airport by reserving in advance and choosing a pick up location. Buses operate daily between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Alitalia Bus is the new service for Alitalia customers that connects ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ Fiumicino Airport and the centre of Rome. The service is offered in collaboration with Alitransport.

Alitalia Bus, with its distinctive Alitalia style, takes you to the city centre with fast, comfortable coaches seating 55 or 64 passengers. Depending on the flight to which the coach is connected, you can reach several destinations in the heart of Rome.

From The airport
No matter at what time your Alitalia flight arrives, if you have signed up for the Alitalia Bus service, you will always find a coach waiting to take you to your destination in the city, such as:

Fiumicino Airport – Rome Ostiense Station;
Fiumicino Airport – Rome Termini Station;
Fiumicino Airport – Rome Via delle Fornaci/San Pietro;
Fiumicino Airport – Rome San Giovanni in Laterano;
or other destinations established at purchasing time.
Once you’ve arrived at the airport, you will find the bus waiting for you at Terminal 1 in arrivals area at Fiumicino Airport.

From Rome
To get to Rome’s Fiumicino Airport, all you need to do is join the group tied to your Alitalia flight and go to one of the estabilshed departure points indicated at purchasing time.

How to purchase the service
Alitalia bus costs only 7 euros per passenger (single trip only). Tickets can be purchased if you own an Alitalia flight ticket (to be eligible for this service an Alitalia ticket is required starting with 055).

To access the service go to then select Travel from the top menu and under Organize your Travel you will see Alitalia Bus after selecting this you will see a button at the bottom of this page saying Access the Service
