The Star Alliance member airlines wish to advise the following revisions to the Star Alliance fares effective for sales and ticketing on/after 14 JUL 2011.
Star Alliance Round the World / Circle Asia / Circle North Asia / Circle Pacific
· The two piece baggage allowance no longer applies. Instead a minimum allowance applies as follows.
– Economy cabin 1 piece at 20kg
– Business cabin 2 pieces at a combined weight of 30kg
– First cabin 2 pieces at a combined weight of 40kg
· Flight applications amendments, please refer to the fare sheets.
· The Penalty clause now provides more information on how to deal with fares changes
– If the first outbound sector is changed the fare for the new journey should be assessed based on the fare applicable at the time of reissue.
– If the first flight coupon is not changed then the fare as per original ticket issued will be used.
· Child/infant discounts are no longer available on sector upgrade surcharges to either Premium Economy or Business Class.
· Circle North Asia fare no longer requires a minimum of one crossing between geographic areas. Instead the fare only requires the journey to include travel to Japan, Korea and China
· Circle Asia fare geographic regions have changed – China, Taiwan and Hong Kong are now defined as being within North Asia
· Circle Asia advance purchase requirement no longer applies for travel commencing in SW Pacific
· Circle Pacific fare no longer requires a minimum of one crossing between geographic areas. Instead the fare only requires the journey to include travel to Asia, North America and SW Pacific
· Circle Pacific fare now includes more destination options within Japan, Korea, Thailand and Australia
· Premium Economy sector upgrade surcharges on NZ flights have increased
· Air New Zealand sector surcharge within Business Premier cabin have increased
Star Alliance Airpass

· Brussels Airlines (SN) is now available on the Africa Airpass
· Turkish Airlines (TK) is now available on the Asia Airpass
· Egypt Air (MS) is no longer included in the Asia Airpass
