Galapagos Cruise – Untouched Wildlife Encounters

Written by sailor2512 on March 3rd, 2011

If you have not been to Galapagos you should hurry to make it there. Who knows how long it will still be preserved in the state it is in now. Take a cruise between the islands and emerge into a past where animals were not afraid of humans. It is truly amazing. You step off your cruise ship and all of a sudden you are in a whole different world. Every island is different in its landscape and its flora and fauna. On one island you see millions of flamingos. Another has a whole colony of male sea elephants resting from their exhausting territorial fights. The next has seals and albatrosses nesting. What is so different from other places though is that you get so close to the animals because they know no fear of humans. You actually have to take care not to step on newborn seals or bird nests or brightly colourful crabs. It is so fascinating it’s hard to describe. And after a full day of exciting nature experiences you retreat onto your comfortable cruise ship, have a nice drink and look through the amazing photographs you have taken during  the day. Sounds like something you’d like to do? Don’t hesitate then, take a flight to Quito in Ecuador and spend a few days in this beautiful tropical country before you board your cruise ship or fly onto the Galapagos islands. It’s worth it.
