Travel the picturesque Californian Coast through beautiful beachside communities and along rugged coastlines into Wine Country.

Days 1-2: Los Angeles Arrive in beautiful Los Angeles and pick up a rental vehicle. Enjoy two days to explore the city. Spend the next two nights in Los Angeles.

Day 3: Los Angeles to Central Coast (296km) Start the day with a drive through Santa Monica, the famous beaches of Malibu and up the coast to Santa Barbara. Further north, the classic beach towns of California’s Central Coast beg to be explored. Overnight in Pismo Beach.

Days 4-5: Central Coast to San Francisco (430km) Continue north, and near San Luis Obispo join Highway 1 which is renowned as one of the most scenic roadways in the US. Enjoy more stunning views of the rugged coastline and the Pacific with a drive on the 17-Mile Scenic Drive. Experience the quaint village of Carmel and the charming seaside town of Monterey before arriving in San Francisco. Enjoy a full day to explore San Francisco. Spend the next two nights in San Francisco.

Day 6: San Francisco to Wine Country (80km) Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and head east, pass charming Sausalito en route to Muir Woods National Monument. The park is a sanctuary to beautiful redwoods, some reaching as high as 75 metres. Continue east to Napa and Sonoma. Overnight in Santa Rosa.

Days 7-8: Wine Country to Yosemite (350km) Start early and continue east, before ascending into the Sierra Nevada, join Highway 49 and travel south through California Gold Country. Continue to Yosemite National Park. Enjoy a full day to explore this stunning park. Spend the next two nights in Yosemite.

Day 9: Yosemite to San Francisco (335km) Return to San Francisco and return the vehicle.
